show-me-the-moneyI have no huge “New G” purchases or sales to report this week, I can report I still haven’t invested in any yet, no registrations or pre-orders, I say yet because one never knows, I do invest in non .COM TLD’s, I get .ME and .TV and .NET and .ORG, and I just got a .INFO, but that’s about it so far. Anyway Show.Me The.Money right?

OK, this week My.Money was invested in some .COM, I still love .COM and besides those listed on the Sherpa Challenge I found a few others I liked for cheap like WeedBomb.com (lol), ItalianFantasy.com, MensBeachCruiser.com, and HomeGrownCannabis.com.

I also invested in a few other TLD’s, I got some .ME I liked, Physical.me, GiftShop.me, Revue.me, Fudge.me, and Gusto.me. What is strange is I hand registered Gusto.me last year 2012 and I sold it this year 2013, so I registered it and sold it within a year, but the buyer let it expire and I just got it again for the reg fee when it dropped? I’ll have to look into that more but it happens, domain investing is so crazy sometimes.

A few weeks ago after all the hoopla about .INFO on a blog post I figured I’d try for one so I got Professions.info when it expired, my profession is gambling on this domain, we’ll see how that goes, lol.

And last but not least I picked up Aviate.net because I still like a single word .NET, I also bid on a few better names at NameJet but got outbid on all of them. So basically I am still investing in Old G’s and CC’s but I am also selling them, I spent about $500 last week including the Sherpa Challenge $180 (not including renewals, be careful here, like Rick says 10 years), and I sold about $8.5k, one .COM for $5k and four .ME for $3.5k. And yes, I might have been better off just getting one name for $500, but it didn’t go that way, next week maybe, I believe I can make a profit on what I got. 😎

In other “New G” news I got an email this morning from United Domains that they are “Now Taking Orders for .BIKE, .GURU, .VENTURES and More”, and as reported immediately by TheDomains.com their pricing is less than Pre-Orders at GoDaddy on many of them. Here are some specifics:

We’re pleased to announce that we are taking binding pre-orders for domains bearing the following extensions:

.bike: $29/yr, .estate: $29/yr .guru: $29/yr, .holdings: $79/yr, .singles: $29/yr, .ventures: $69/yr, .camera: $29/yr, .clothing: $29/yr, .gallery: $29/yr, .equipment: $29/yr, .graphics: $29/yr, .lighting: $19/yr, .photography: $14/yr, .plumbing: $29/yr.

This will be the first of many new gTLD launches with United Domains. In January, we will be taking pre-orders for the next round of New gTLDs, which will include the following extensions, perfect for all kinds of websites:

.contractors, .voyage, .construction, .diamonds, .land, .enterprises, .technology, .tips, .directory, .today, .kitchen.

And GoDaddy has all kinds of “New G” pricing things going on, they have Pre-Registration pricing and Priority Pre-Registration pricing and Phases of Priority Pre-Registration pricing and… Anyway Phase 1 pricing is $12,539.99, if more than one person puts in a application for the same domain at the Phase 1 price and GD gets the domain it goes to auction from there, wow, big money, it gets complicated but TheDomains.com broke it down really good here.

And finally, and again as reported by TheDomains.com (also my research department lol), Rick and Morgan posted about this too, Sucks.Sucks, this is just an opinion of course, it might turn out to be the greatest thing since actual sucking was discovered? But I think the .Sucks folks just saw the genius job .XXX did with “defensive registrations” and “brand protection” and thought WOW, we can do that too. I seriously doubt at this point .SEX and .PORN and .GAY and .WHATEVER will do as good with the “defensive registration” and “brand protection” thing as .XXX did, it gets old after a while. Here is what .Sucks says:

“Trademark Priority”

“Trademark Holders can reserve now and secure a price of $2,500 to avoid announced Sunrise pricing of $25,000.” “Trademark Priority registrations will take place BEFORE sunrise”

I wonder if somebody will get DomainPicks.Sucks?
